A Personal Journey: Why Small Businesses Matter
Today, I'm writing a guest post for Danna. I don't often blog, but when I do it's for Danna Bananas. You may wonder, why am I blogging? I want to tell you how important it is to a family like ours when people spend their hard-earned money with us because I am the husband of a small business owner.
Navigating Challenges: The Impact of the Canada Post Strike
It is more crucial than ever with the labour disruptions over the past year. Small businesses nationwide are being impacted by the Canada Post strike, and labour unrest. Particularly those that have an online presence. Since Danna Bananas is an online-only business, we've had to switch strategies and figure out other ways to provide our humorous present at affordable costs. We have discovered a few additional nearby shipping providers who collaborate with us to obtain affordable prices for both our esteemed customers and ourselves. If you require a gift at the last minute, we can also ship via the more costly and quicker courier.
Sadly, we’ve had to stop shipping to the United States. We love our customers across the border, but new CUSMA rules now require tariffs on any items we sell that aren’t made in Canada, making it difficult for us to continue U.S. shipping.
